Devido ao sucesso no número de inscritos, que ficou acima das expectativas, a Prefeitura de Sorocaba, por meio da Secretaria de Cultura (Secult), divulgou, na edição do Jornal do Município desta sexta-feira (1), o novo cronograma para execução da Lei Paulo Gustavo (Lei Complementar nº 195/2022) na cidade. No total, serão investidos R$ 5.063.547,90 em editais nas seguintes áreas: Produção Audiovisual; Reforma e manutenção de salas de cinema; Formação, qualificação e difusão na área de Audiovisual e Fomento à produção cultural, exceto Audiovisual.
Promovida pelo Governo Federal, por meio do Ministério da Cultura, a Lei Paulo Gustavo, regulamentada pelo Decreto Federal nº 11.525/2023, dispõe sobre ações emergenciais destinadas ao setor cultural, a serem adotadas em decorrência dos efeitos econômicos e sociais da Covid-19 em todo o País.
O número de trabalhos inscritos superou todas as previsões, totalizando 343 projetos. Diante da expressiva procura, foi necessário convocar mais peritos para as avaliações, o que gerou a necessidade de alteração nas datas previstas em edital.
“A equipe da Secretaria de Cultura de Sorocaba está totalmente empenhada na aplicação desta Lei, pois se trata de uma iniciativa importante, que valoriza, ainda mais, os artistas locais e estimula a produção cultural em diferentes áreas”, ressalta o secretário de Cultura, Luiz Antonio Zamuner.
As avaliações dos projetos inscritos seguem até esta segunda-feira (4) e estão sendo realizadas por um grupo de pareceristas, formado por profissionais com formação e experiência na área. Já, a publicação dos resultados está prevista para a próxima quinta-feira (7).
