Hospital Municipal Santa Isabel promove debate sobre ostomias intestinais nesta quarta-feira

No mês em que é celebrado o Dia Nacional do Ostomizado, a equipe do Serviço de Residência Médica em Coloproctologia do Hospital Municipal Santa Isabel (HMSI) promove, nesta quarta-feira (8), um debate envolvendo a realização de uma colostomia.  

O assunto será o tema da aula ‘Fundamentos e Repercussões das Ostomias Intestinais’, que será realizada dentro do Programa Professor Convidado e terá como ministrante o cirurgião geral e coloproctologista Alberto Luiz Duarte Marinho, coordenador do Serviço de Coloproctologia do Hospital Santa Isabel.  

“O objetivo da aula é informar aos cirurgiões os fundamentos para a realização de uma colostomia: indicação, detalhes para uma boa técnica e como evitar complicações. Será informado também o momento adequado para fechamento do estoma, como preparar o paciente para a cirurgia e os riscos inerentes desta cirurgia”, informou o médico Alberto Luiz.  

Durante a aula também serão abordados os cuidados do coloproctologista e da enfermeira ostomoterapeuta quanto ao uso de bolsas coletoras e outros insumos para uma boa adaptação dos ostomisados. A aula será realizada de forma presencial, a partir das 19h30, no Centro de Estudos do Hospital Municipal Santa Isabel.  

O médico, fundador do primeiro Centro de Atenção aos Ostomizados da Paraíba, explica que ostoma intestinal é a comunicação entre o intestino com o meio externo, através da parede abdominal. Pode ser realizado em cirurgias de urgência, em situações de grande risco de vida para o paciente. Trata-se de uma abertura por onde o paciente pode eliminar fezes ou urina.  

Programa – O ‘Professor Convidado’ proporciona o melhor da atualização científico-acadêmica para a comunidade médica, beneficiando secundariamente toda a população usuária da rede SUS.  

É um programa de ensino gratuito, de frequência mensal, com público-alvo voltado para médicos, médicos-residentes e estudantes de medicina e conta com a participação de várias escolas cirúrgicas da cidade.
