Operação Cyberconnect cumpre 167 mandados de busca e apreensão em cidades de São Paulo e em outros três estados
A Polícia Civil, por meio do Deinter-5, em São José do Rio Preto, deflagrou nesta quinta-feira (30) uma megaoperação contra crimes cibernéticos. A Operação Cyberconnect cumpre 167 mandados de busca e apreensão e um de prisão em várias cidades do estado de São Paulo, na capital e também em Curitiba (PR), Palmas (TO) e Cuiabá (MT).
Participam da ação 660 policiais civis do Deinter de Campinas, Ribeirão Preto, Bauru, Santos e Piracicaba.
Foram instaurados 50 inquéritos policiais para investigar a ação de grupos que praticam crimes cibernéticos. A investigação identificou pelo menos 3 mil vítimas dos golpistas virtuais somente na região de São José do Rio Preto, que tiveram um prejuízo estimado em R$ 30 milhões. Dez sites são investigados.
“Esta megaoperação é um marco no combate a esta modalidade criminosa que tem feito cada vez mais vítimas, que é o estelionato virtual. Até então, as investigações contra este crime eram feitas de forma difusa, o que dificultava a repressão. Com essa operação conjunta, a inteligência da polícia vai poder identificar as quadrilhas que agem no ambiente cibernético e causam prejuízo a milhares de pessoas. E é um prejuízo não só financeiro, mas também psicológico, porque a pessoa que cai nestes golpes virtuais, principalmente idosos, sofrem demais, já que muitas vezes perdem tudo o que têm”, afirma o secretário da Segurança Pública, Guilherme Derrite.
