A Prefeitura de Sorocaba, por meio da Secretaria da Educação (Sedu), informa que a data de início das aulas para os mais de 62 mil estudantes da rede municipal de ensino, no ano letivo de 2024, será no dia 5 de fevereiro, próxima segunda-feira.
Conforme preconizado pela Lei n° 9.394/96, Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação Nacional, os estudantes precisam cumprir, no mínimo, 200 dias letivos, de quatro horas diárias, totalizando 800 horas anuais. O recesso de meio do ano está previsto para o período de 15/7 a 26/7/2024 e o término do ano letivo em 19/12/24.
“Este ano, estamos preparados para realizar a entrega de kits de materiais escolares e uniformes escolares a todos os alunos da rede, já no início do ano letivo. A distribuição dos conjuntos de uniformes, uma novidade proporcionada pela atual Administração, garante que alunos de todas as nossas unidades escolares tenham acesso a peças de qualidade, contribuindo também para o sentimento de inclusão social e dando tranquilidade aos pais, que ficam com um custo a menos para arcar em um período que já costuma implicar em mais gastos para a família”, pondera o prefeito Rodrigo Manga.
Além disso, para fazer frente à crescente demanda por vagas, especialmente no segmento de creche, a Prefeitura, por meio da Secretaria da Educação, também segue com as obras de construção de 17 novas escolas, sendo duas delas já entregues em 2023 e outras em ritmo acelerado de construção.
