As famílias sorocabanas poderão participar, nos dias 22 e 24 de fevereiro, de uma programação do Festival das Lanternas, com a professora de mandarim e cultura oriental Meng-Hsun Lee, no Pátio Cianê Shopping, localizado no Centro da cidade. As atividades ocorrerão no Bloco B do empreendimento, no Piso 1.
Promovida pela Prefeitura de Sorocaba, por meio da Secretaria de Cultura (Secult), com o apoio do shopping, a programação tem como objetivo fomentar a cultura oriental, de forma lúdica.
O Festival das Lanternas, último dia da celebração do Ano Novo Chinês, tem como tradição pendurar lanternas, de vários formatos e tamanhos, em árvores e às margens de rios. Outra tradição é adivinhar os enigmas nas lanternas, que são geralmente curtos, sábios e, às vezes, engraçados. A resposta para um enigma pode ser um caractere chinês, o nome de uma pessoa famosa, o nome de um lugar ou um provérbio.
No dia 22 de fevereiro, das 14h às 17h, o público terá a oportunidade de participar de atividade de corte de papel no formato de dragão, em razão de 2024 ser o Ano do Dragão no zodíaco chinês, além de confeccionar sua própria lanterna e fazer um imã de biscuit em formato de tartaruga.
A programação continua no dia 24 de fevereiro, das 14h às 17h30, com a confecção de lanternas e, na ocasião, quem descobrir o enigma proposto pela professora de mandarim e cultura oriental Meng-Hsun Lee vai ganhar uma lanterna especial. Já às 15h, as famílias poderão prestigiar o show de Kofu.
O Pátio Cianê Shopping está localizado na Avenida Afonso Vergueiro, 823, no Centro, ao lado do Terminal Santo Antônio.
