A sede da Prefeitura do Rio de Janeiro recebe nesta quinta-feira (07/03) a Feira Multicultural Refúgio em Foco de Imigrantes Empreendedores Sociais, das 9h às 17h. Realizado pela Secretaria de Cidadania, o evento terá 20 barracas com empreendedores de diversas nacionalidades, como Angola, Argentina, Colômbia, Congo, Chile, Haiti, México, Síria, Senegal e Venezuela, e que residem na cidade. Os estandes ficam no pátio, na Rua Afonso Cavalcanti 445, Cidade Nova.
Diversidade de produtos e comidas de vários países do mundo são atrativos do evento. Estarão à venda objetos de decoração e acessórios, como bolsas e carteiras, e peças em artesanato, como bijuterias em trançados, peças em aço e também com pedras naturais e macramê.
Secretário especial de Cidadania, Renato Moura ressalta a importância do evento, que já faz parte do calendário da cidade:
– A feira é uma bela vitrine para o trabalho dessa população de empreendedores imigrantes e refugiados, que tem uma gama de produtos diferenciados e imensas potencialidades. É um espaço de integração e de troca cultural que só enriquece nossa cidade.
Entre os destaques da gastronomia, vale ressaltar as novidades desta edição: os saborosíssimos doces árabes da Safita Doces e as roupas com estampas angolanas da Raízes Africans. No festival de delícias, já viraram atração os pratos típicos do Congo, servidos pelo chef Kimberly; assim como a arepa venezuelana, com massa à base de farinha de milho e recheios variados. O patacon colombiano, espécie de panqueca com massa à base de banana e recheios de carne ou frango, também já é sucesso nas várias edições da feira, assim como as empanadas argentinas ou chilenas e brownies e doces da venezuelana Catalina. No quesito bebida, um dos diferenciais é o mangachu, típica do Congo, feito de base de gengibre.
