A Prefeitura de Sorocaba, por meio da Secretaria de segurança Urbana (Sesu), realizou, na manhã desta quinta-feira (28), uma homenagem a 58 integrantes da Guarda Civil Municipal (GCM) e da Escola de Gestão Público (EGP), pelos relevantes serviços prestados ao Município. A solenidade celebrou também os 36 anos da Corporação, comemorados no dia 4 de dezembro. O evento aconteceu no auditório do Centro de Referencia em Educação (CRE), no Jardim Saira.
Na ocasião, foram entregues barretas comemorativas que marcam o cumprimento de 20 e 30 anos de serviços prestados à GCM; brasão aos três melhores colocados no concurso interno de carreira da Corporação, para GCMS de 1ª Classe, Classe Especial e Classe Distinta; certificados de empenho e presteza, além de Medalha de Honra ao Mérito de 3º Grau, também por prestação de serviço excepcional à população de Sorocaba.
“É com muito prazer que entregamos essas congratulações, inclusive, para GCMs que se destacaram durante ações no dia a dia, em que arriscaram a própria vida em prol de outros e em favor da segurança dos sorocabanos. Esse é um gesto de agradecimento ao trabalho de todos vocês”, enalteceu o secretário de Gabinete Central (SGC), João Alberto Corrêa Maia, que representou o prefeito Rodrigo Manga, no evento.
“Durante a atual gestão, realizamos o concurso para novos GCM, que há 21 anos, não ocorria na cidade. Além disso, demos andamento em uma série de projetos, como aquisição de novos uniformes para os servidores da segurança pública, sistema de ‘muralha eletrônica’, totem de videomonitoramento e intensificação nas ações de patrulhamento e operações integradas com outras forças de segurança. Por isso, temos muitos motivos para comemorar e agradecer a toda essa equipe”, disse o secretário da Sesu, Alexandre Caixeiro.
“Hoje é dia de homenagear e agradecer a todos, indistintamente, que contribuíram de alguma forma para o sucesso das ações da GCM. Vale citar, ainda, a conquista da reforma e instalação da base da Inspetoria de Operações Especiais (IOPE), no Parque dos Espanhóis, e da nova Escola de Formação, Aperfeiçoamento e Especialização (Efae) da GCM, além do nosso concurso interno de promoção, entre outras tantas iniciativas”, acrescentou o comandante-geral da GCM de Sorocaba, Davi Dutra.
Também estiveram presentes na solenidade os secretários municipais de Relações do Trabalho e Qualificação Profissional (Sert), Hudson Pessini, e de Esporte e Qualidade de Vida (Sequav), Vitor Hugo Tavares, mais o vereador Dylan Dantas.
