O calendário anual de inscrições para castração de cães e gatos na cidade do Rio já está disponível. Para as 4.616 vagas de fevereiro, o agendamento deverá ser feito nos próximos dias 25 (protetores de animais cadastrados na Secretaria de Proteção e Defesa dos Animais) e 26 (população em geral). O serviço é oferecido gratuitamente.
O agendamento é presencial, com distribuição de senhas às 8h, nas seguintes unidades municipais de medicina veterinária: Parque Manuel Bandeira (Cocotá, Ilha do Governador); Rua São Salvador, altura do Nº 1 (Flamengo); Rua Cabo Bastos Cortes s/nº (Paciência); Rua Sidney da Silveira, Praça Guilherme da Silveira (Bangu); Estrada do Tingui, Praça da Oiticica (Campo Grande); Passarela 9 da Avenida Brasil (Bonsucesso); Largo de Vicente de Carvalho (Vicente de Carvalho); Praça Barão da Taquara (Praça Seca); Rua Dois de fevereiro 711 (Engenho de Dentro) e Estrada do Mato Alto 5.620, Fazenda Modelo (Guaratiba).
Para agendar é preciso ser maior de 18 anos e levar original e cópia da identidade, do CPF e do comprovante de residência. Os cães têm que pesar entre 3,5kg e 25kg, e os gatos a partir de 1,5kg. A idade do animal deve ser de 4 meses a 7 anos, e o procedimento não é realizado em braquicefálicos e cachorro Chow-chow.
Não é necessário levar o animal à inscrição.
