O cuidado com a Capital é constante, não tem dia e nem hora. Mesmo no Carnaval, a Prefeitura de Campo Grande manteve ações de tapa-buracos nos bairros e limpeza, todos os dias, nos locais de eventos carnavalescos, como a Esplanada Ferroviária e Praça do Papa.
Foram recolhidas quase 10 toneladas de lixo nesses locais, sendo 9 toneladas na região central e 800 quilos na Praça do Papa, onde foram realizados os desfiles das escolas de samba.
Para manter os locais limpos, a Solurb colocou 50 funcionários por dia para fazer a limpeza. Além do recolhimento do lixo, os locais foram lavados com o uso de caminhões pipa. Para executar o serviço, foram necessários 65 mil litros de água e 30 litros de desinfetante. As equipes também realizaram a limpeza das vias na região da Esplanada, como as ruas 14 de Julho, 13 de Maio, Doutor Ferreira, General Melo, Temístocles e as avenida Calógeras e Mato Grosso.
Já as equipes de tapa-buracos trabalharam normalmente no período carnavalesco, cumprindo com o cronograma de serviços. No sábado, segunda e terça-feira, foram executados quase 3 mil tapa buracos em bairros como Coophavila, Rita Vieira, Vila Marli, Vila Nasser, Coophasul, Vila Ieda, entre outros.
