Agentes da Secretaria de Ordem Pública (Seop) apreenderam 38 facas e objetos perfurocortantes nas ações de ordenamento, desobstrução de área pública e acolhimento, em conjunto com a Secretaria de Assistência Social, no último fim de semana. As operações ocorreram na Zona Sul e Centro, especialmente em áreas com concentração de usuários de drogas. As equipes também encontraram duas réplicas de armas, além de 17 utensílios para consumo e seis pinos de armazenamento de drogas.
– Essas ações são fundamentais para aumentar o ordenamento da cidade e para auxiliar na segurança pública. Infelizmente, temos visto muitos casos de roubos e furtos cometidos por usuários de drogas e a apreensão desses materiais, sem dúvida, é uma forma de coibirmos esses crimes – destacou o secretário de Ordem Pública, Brenno Carnevale.
Somente em 2023, foram apreendidos 3.568 facas e objetos perfurocortantes, além de 2.050 objetos para consumo de drogas e 20 armas falsas.
É importante destacar que, devido a uma decisão do Supremo Tribunal Federal, é proibido o acolhimento ou internação compulsória de usuários de drogas ou pessoas em situação de rua.
