Agência Minas Gerais | Governador se reúne com prefeitos e lideranças locais do Sul de Minas

O governador Romeu Zema concluiu, nesta sexta-feira (8/3), mais um giro pelo interior do estado, com compromissos oficiais no Sul de Minas.

A primeira agenda foi na cidade de São Lourenço, onde, além de se reunir com o prefeito e lideranças, o governador vistoriou as obras em andamento no aeroporto do município. Com recursos repassados pelo Governo de Minas, por meio do ICMS Cultural da Secretaria de Estado de Cultura e Turismo (Secult), a Prefeitura Municipal de São Lourenço recebeu aproximadamente R$ 500 mil para a reforma. A previsão, segundo o município, é que as intervenções sejam concluídas no segundo semestre deste ano.

Café do Sul de Minas

Ainda pela manhã, o chefe do Executivo mineiro esteve em Carmo de Minas, município reconhecido pela produção dos melhores cafés especiais no Brasil. Na oportunidade, ele conheceu a  CarmoCoffees, empresa responsável pela seleção e exportação dos melhores cafés de produtores do Sul de Minas para cerca de 40 países.  

Ele acompanhou o processo de seleção dos grãos e de degustação dos produtos comercializados. Além disso, Zema conversou com produtores do município.

Demandas locais

Ainda na região, o governador encerrou a série de compromissos em Lambari, Jesuânia e Cambuquira. Além de se reunir com prefeitos e lideranças locais para ouvir demandas e apresentar ações e avanços do Governo de Minas, Romeu Zema esteve no Parque das Águas. Localizado em Cambuquira, o espaço engloba seis fontes de água mineral (ferruginosa, alcalina, magnesiana, sulfurosa, gasosa e com lítio).
