Arquivo Público recebe documentos da Rede Ferroviária

Fundação Cultural Cassiano Ricardo

Documentos da Rede Ferroviária Federal S/A chegaram ao Arquivo Público do Município, nesta segunda-feira (15), para serem recuperados e documentados, garantindo a preservação da história da ferrovia em São José dos Campos.

Os documentos, das décadas de 1970 e 1980, agora passarão por análise do estado de conservação, higienização e recuperação, o que deve ocorrer em um período de 12 meses.

São documentos pessoais, técnicos, contábeis, de RH (Recursos Humanos) e registros fotográficos da empresa estatal brasileira de transporte ferroviário.

O processo de higienização dos documentos levará aproximadamente três meses para ser concluído.

A recuperação desses documentos contou com o apoio da ADC Urbam (Urbanizadora S/A).

Arquivo Público

O Arquivo Público do Município, localizado no Parque da Cidade, tem sido fundamental para a guarda da história e memória de São José dos Campos. Todo o material está à disposição para consulta da população.

O Arquivo Público do Município é vinculado à Fundação Cultural Cassiano Ricardo e seu acervo, datado desde o século XVIII, é composto por papel, filmes, contatos, negativos e outros suportes, além de livros.

Dentre os serviços prestados, em três décadas de existência, estão consultas de guias e inventários, consulta de acervos fotográficos, pesquisa e emissão de certidões para diferentes fins, área de leitura de documentos e biblioteca de referência com mais de sete mil títulos para consultas em diversas áreas acadêmicas. Conforme legislação municipal e nacional, é autorizada a reprodução das informações.

O espaço conta ainda com o acervo privado de importantes nomes que marcaram a história da cidade, como Cassiano Ricardo, Clemente Gomes, Severo Gomes, Hélio Pinto Ferreira, Irmandade de São Benedito, dentre outros.
